VIDHYA MOHANKUMAR

Founder & Managing Trustee

Trustee Vidhya is an architect and urban designer with over a decade of work experience in India, Ireland and the United States. She is presently based in Chennai and practises as an independent urban design & planning consultant and has also been teaching as a guest faculty at various institutions since she returned to India in 2008. In other parallel albeit real universes, she is a wishful artist, an avid wanderer, a constant gardener and a newly enthused cook.

DEVANGI RAMAKRISHNAN

Outreach & Communications

Devangi is an architect and urban designer with an interest in sustainable urban development, urban poverty, and heritage conservation. Her professional experience includes design and construction management of urban riverfronts, parks, and streetscapes in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Pondicherry. She has been living and working in Pondicherry since October 2012 providing project-based consultancy to INTACH Pondicherry.

TAHAER ZOYAB

Research & Projects

Tahaer is an architect urban designer with an interest in graphics and multi-faceted design. His work experience as an architect/ tour guide/ site worker in New York City gave him a set palette of skills to start work “On Our Own”. He is Partner and Principal Designer at Triple O Studio, a young Chennai-based design studio.

AJEETHA RANGANATHAN

Ajeetha Ranganathan is an architect, writer and designer who is interested in the larger impacts of design. Her interests tend towards exploring socioeconomic issues and emerging technologies, and how they impact the city. She is a researcher at CnT Architects, Bangalore.

MAHESH RADHAKRISHNAN

Mahesh is an architect with work experience ranging from large scale urban design to human scale interface design. He has been an urban research scholar at the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in Germany and is the founder of a small architectural practice with a long name- MOAD- The Madras Office for Architects and Designers.

NEHA KRISHNAN

Neha is an Architect and Urban Enthusiast. Her interests lie in how cities develop in the 21st century, and cultural and economic implications of this growth. She has been a designer, writer and teacher over the last couple of years; and having moved to the United States recently, is currently UDC’s Foreign Correspondent.

NISCHAL BUDDHAVARAPU

Nischal is an architect, urban designer, essayist, thinker, reader, feminist, adventurer and lots of other things that may not be true. He is one of the Directors at Padgro Consultants, a Chennai- based firm that offers architecture, urban design and planning services.

NITHYA RAMESH

Nithya is an Architect – Urban Designer, passionate about experiencing and changing cities. She currently works in Jana Urban Space Foundation, Bangalore creating better streets and public spaces.

SHRUTI SHANKAR

Shruti is a designer and architect who enjoys dabbling in the design of cities and having conversations about urbanism and city-living, among other things. She is currently an associate urban designer at Jana Urban Space Foundation.

SIVAGAMI

PERIANNAN Sivagami is an architect with a keen interest in all things urban. She currently works as an architect at Architecure Red, a Chennai-based architecture studio.

BHARATH GANDHI PALANISWAMY

Bharath is a civil engineer with a specialization in Geoinformatics. He is an urban enthusiast and always up for the cause of better cities. He is the Director at his own firm Rajarajan Engineering Consultancy & Construction Pvt. Ltd.
